There’s nothing better than making your winter morning cosier than starting your day with a warming drink.

Here are three delicious drinks we love that will not warm you up, but nourish your skin from the inside out with natural beautifying nutrients.

Ginger and Honey Tea

Did you know that Ginger is one of the most traditional and alternative medicines used to help with weight loss and to boost immunity? It’s also great for the skin because it promotes healthy blood flow throughout the body and has been said to pump up the volume of collagen production.

To make simply;

Boil an inch of ginger in 350ml water of water. As it warms add a little cinnamon and honey to sweeten and increase the number of antioxidants that your body needs to fight free-radical damage.

Top tip: Simply stir in a teaspoon of collagen alongside the honey. This is a great time to rejuvenate your skin with beauty nutrients.

Turmeric latte

This anti-inflammatory drink will not only help to maintain the warm temperature of the body but also work to reduce inflammation in the body. Excess inflammation causes premature ageing, so including turmeric in your diet can be a great way to keep you feeling and looking more youthful.  This also works well as an evening drink to aid sleep as it’s caffeine free and a great source of tryptophan, casein, and calcium that will help to put your brain into sleep mode.

To make simply;

Boil 350ml of milk of your choice while adding 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder or raw turmeric, ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon ground ginger, ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon maple syrup into the saucepan. Whisk gentle over a gentle heat, before adding a pinch of black pepper. Once hot, pour into mugs and sprinkle with a little more cinnamon to serve.

Top Tip: Why not add a teaspoon of collagen powder to add to the beauty benefits of this healing and delicious drink? Don’t forget the black pepper too. It’s one of the most important ingredients because it helps your body absorb the turmeric.

Hot Cocoa

This has to be one of our favourites, especially when you’re looking for that chocolate fix without the sugar high. A spoonful of collagen in there will also give you a healthy dose of appetite-suppressing protein, as well as help give your skin the tools it needs to boost elasticity and potency.

To make simply;

Heat 250ml almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice) in a small pan over a medium heat before adding a tablespoon of cocoa powder. Mix well.

Next, add in 1 scoop of collagen powder and mix well before stirring in 1 tablespoon of maple syrup a 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract and a tiny pinch of salt.

Top tip: Why not replace the cocoa powder with raw cacao powder for a less processed version of that chocolate hit and a boost of extra magnesium and powerful antioxidants? You can also add some cacao nibs for a crunchy topping.
